René Henket was born on May 23, 1968. He comes from a musical family and started playing the trumpet at the age of 8. His first trumpet teacher was Pierre Wilhelmus. In 1987 he went to the conservatory in Maastricht where he studied the main subjects trumpet, school music and hafa conducting. He graduated with Guido Seegers in 1993 on trumpet. School music successfully followed in 1994 and Hafa conducting with Jo Conjaerts in 1995. After his conservatory education in Maastricht, René continued his studies at the Musikhochschule Köln with Heinz Meures, where he obtained both his Instrumentalpädagogiek and his Künstlerische Reifeprüfung. Since 1988 René has been a trumpet player with André Rieu's Johann Strauss orchestra. André achieved world fame with this orchestra and played in all the major concert halls in the world. Due to his long experience as a trumpet teacher, Rene has built up a specialty for brass players with embouchure problems. Using the most modern measuring techniques, we gain insight into the playing problems. We map these out and solve them. Linked to this is often a suitable mouthpiece advice. This is all done on the basis of measurable facts. René collects teaching methods for trumpet and because he travels all over the world this has become an impressive collection. This is in line with his motto, "every student is unique and should be approached as such"
Rene is a bachtrumpets lover since he can remember.
